The Bulldog Reporter Advanced PR Technology in Practice in San Francisco wrapped up and here are a few photos. One thing is for sure, I need to buy a new camera. Another thing is that the event started out with lots of conversation about using SEO to drive “pull” PR efforts and ended heavy on the social media. It was a great match for TopRank: SEO and social media for public relations.
A modest sized audience, but engaged and plenty of questions.

You know I really try and stay away from things like this, but when I see people use a widely read medium to spread misinformation, without doing their research first, it makes my blood boil. What did Christina Warren say here’s a look:
There’s lots of talk within the tech community, especially the blogosphere about using SEO and how it’s GOOD for bloggers and doesn’t negatively affect readers/searchers/regular users. This is a lie. Instead of Search Engine Optimization, SEO should really stand for Search Engine Opportunism, because that’s what it really is.

The BIGLIST had some BIG changes this week dear readers. Our list manager went to work checking each link and each blog for post recency and 70 blogs didn’t make the cut. Ouch! We’re not strict, just make sure you post at least once every 2 weeks and the posts are mostly about marketing online or your blog will be removed from the BIGLIST.
Dropped and want to get back on? Start posting first. Then you know the drill: Links get noticed, Technorati favorites get noticed, Twitter followers get noticed. Plus if you do something special on Sphinn, StumbleUpon or on one of the blogs that’s already in, you could certainly let it happen organically.
